Fiona Everly

Research Assistant

Fiona graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Brock University in 2018 and Master in Public Policy from Queen’s University in 2019. Post-graduation, Fiona began her career as a Policy Analyst for the Government of Canada in 2018. She has worked on a range of files, from machinery of government, to mitigating the impact of COVID-19 through developing border requirements, to ocean conservation. Currently, Fiona works in Fisheries and Oceans Strategic Policy, Cabinet Drafting Unit, leading and supporting the drafting of the Department’s forward thinking policy. Recently, she successfully led a file on providing increased, holistic support to mitigate the declines of Canada’s at-risk whale populations.
